Carton Requirements

• All merchandise must be packed in re-shippable cartons with a burst strength of 200 psi or greater.
• Maximum acceptable carton dimensions are 24” (61cm) length, 16” (40.6cm) width, and 18” (45.7cm) height, unless the size of the item exceeds these dimensions.
• Minimum carton dimensions require that the height of the carton be at least 4”, and the width not be less than 6,” in order to be able to apply the Tradestone UCC128 carton label on the edge of the cartons without the barcode being folded around the edges. There are no minimum restrictions to the length of the carton.
• Do not place bands or straps on cartons as they may damage our sorting equipment.
• Do not wrap shipping cartons in plastic.
• Tape must be professional heavy-duty clear plastic box tape, or cord reinforced brown paper box tape. No plastic office tape.
• In places where it applies to the product being shipped, cartons need to be printed with clearly visible standard ‘Fragile’, ‘This way up’ and ‘Keep Dry’ pictorial symbols (if applicable to your product), as per ASTM D5445 “Standard Practice for Pictorial Markings for Handling of Goods” or similar.

Carton Labeling Requirements

• The Tradestone Packing List should be attached to the outside of the lead carton of the PO, in a “Packing List Enclosed” envelope.
• UCC-128 Carton Labels (generated from the Tradestone Packing List) are to be attached to the lower right-hand corner of the short end of the carton. The barcode of the label must not be folded around the edges of the carton. See below for an example of placement.
• The carton labels should be no smaller than 4 x 6 inches and no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches.
• ASN data is retrieved from Tradestone and transmitted to our Warehouse Management system. It is absolutely critical that the UCC-128 Carton Label on each carton matches the carton contents and that the Packing List matches the labels and the contents of the cartons.
