Introduction

French Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy

The anti-waste law for a circular economy (AGEC) aims, as its name suggests, to fight against waste and to set up a circular economy. More specifically, it is about changing the production and consumption model to reduce waste and preserve natural resources, biodiversity, and the climate.

The law imposes a variety of requirement on businesses that sell products in France, which includes URBN. Vendors are responsible for ensuring product sold to URBN is compliant with applicable laws in the jurisdictions in which the product will be sold. We have summarized some of the requirements of the AGEC law to assist our vendors in ensuring they are compliant.

If, after exploring the summarized information on our vendor website, you have any questions about these requirements, we encourage you to explore the various linked resources for more detailed information on the law.

If you still have questions that cannot be answered by the referenced sites, please contact the URBN Regulatory Team for assistance here!
