International LTL and Truckload Shipments

These instructions are for URBN US Import Shipments from Canada and Mexico whereby URBN is acting as the Importer of Record (IOR), and apply to all URBN brands; Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain, BHLDN, & Nuuly.

Vendors MUST book all LTL and Truckload shipments with URBN’s preferred carriers in the table below.

Bookings should be made 5 days prior to cargo ready date.

Please have the following details available when requesting a booking:

To ensure URBN is billed for either LTL or Truckload shipping expense. The Pickup Form/Bill of Lading (BOL) MUST be marked that billing for Freight is, “Third Party-Collect” and the Bill To Address MUST be:

*A VICs Bill of Lading is required for all shipments into the US, Truckload (TL) or Less than Truckload (LTL). Please see the BOL guide for BOL requirements.

ALERTS

  • URBN will not authorize prepay & add-on vendor invoices.
  • Do NOT purchase additional insurance from carriers. Any expense for additional insurance will be charged back to the vendor, unless previously approved by URBN Buyer.
  • Factory is responsible for block and brace of cargo within the trailer. Cargo should not be able to shift during transit.
  • Pallets should be shrink-wrapped, and goods secured to the pallet so they do not tip or fall during transit.
  • Vendor must deliver cargo and documents in accordance with their booking declaration as well as by customer’s required load specifications.
  • Any hazardous cargo is subject to local and international restrictions as well as approval for carriage by the underlying carrier.
  • Vendor/Factory responsible for ALL Export Clearances
  • All Truckload and LTL Imports must be shipped in compliance with all USA and USMCA Customs Regulations.
